Ms. Kunstler has broad-based business skills ranging from finance to marketing, from private board member to public company board and audit committee member and from marketing to finance. She has built and advised companies with worldwide markets and understands the challenges and importance of building international markets at an early-stage.
Julie served as independent director for TTI Telecom from 2006 to 2010, when the company as acquired. She was a member of the audit, compensation and independent director committees. Julie added value to TTI Telecom with her communications industry domain expertise and her understanding of differing markets around the globe.
Ms. Kunstler served as VP Business Development for Teknovus, Inc. which was acquired by Broadcom in 2010. Her role at this successful semiconductor start-up was diverse and included corporate strategy, partnerships in the US and Asia, fund raising from venture capital firms and commercial banks, building financial forecasts, negotiating with suppliers, writing and issuing press releases, selecting trade shows, representing the company at conferences and establishing analyst relationships. In addition, Julie served as project manager for the successful exit.
Julie co-founded Portview Communications Partners, an early-stage venture capital firm focusing on the communications industry, covering components, chips, systems and software. She is currently serving on the board of FiberZone Networks, a privately-held company. FiberZone develops and sells physical layer switches for fiber management to public data centers, service providers and private networks in the US, South America, Japan and India.
Ms. Kunstler served as COO for HK Catalyst Finance and Strategy, a consulting firm serving high-tech companies in marketing, business, finance and strategy projects. Clients ranged from international firms such as Siemens to start-ups. Prior to HK, Julie was an early employee at Paychex, a US-based payroll and benefits outsourcing firm.
